Over the past few weeks, the Jinji Lake banks in SIP are always full of music, lights and laughter and cheers from people on weekend nights, making this area one of the most popular destinations for both locals and tourists.

The “Summer Night in SIP” concert on the sunken square on the right bank of Jinji Lake and “Waterfront Concerts” concerts at Harmony Times Square and Moon Harbor bring diverse genres of music to the audiences every weekend.

Another concert was held at the 688 Arts & Fashion Space on the night of Aug 29 to celebrate the Chinese Valentine’s Day, and an event featuring “parks+art+ experience” will soon start there to provide the participants with immersive commercial experiences.

Moreover, the new stores of DIOR, BYREDO and several other well-known brands and a variety of thematic events like the Pokemon Summer Party and Deli Stationery Festival opened at Suzhou Center Mall in succession recently.

The go-kart boats have attracted about 1,200 tourists since they came into service at Taohua Island, where over 30 recreational projects are available for tourists.

The local traffic police officers, sanitation workers and volunteers have provided strong supports for the events around Jinji Lake. Statistics show that from July to August, the Jinji Lake Scenic Area recorded about 6.04 million visitors, up 10.2% year-on-year.
