Sailing has a long and illustrious history, captivating both athletes and spectators with its unique blend of skill, strategy and teamwork. The LCR has been upgraded year by year, not only in its scale, but also in the details of its organization. It is on a par with many international sailing events in terms of the competition system design, the participants and the jury.

As the previous sessions, this year’s event adopted the handicap system, and allowed the contestants to compete with their own boats. It also had an arbitration panel composed of NataliaChubenko from Russia, PilsungLee from the Republic of Korea and Lu Qidong from China to ensure the event went on in a fair and standard way.

“I am very honored to be a member of the arbitration panel. My colleagues are very professional, and the team is meticulous in the organization of the event. We hope that our work can help show the professional quality of the LCR to the world, and make it better known,” NataliaChubenko said.

The event brought together sailing enthusiasts from over 10 countries including China, the United States, Russia, Switzerland and Italy. Most of them work and live in SIP or other places in the YRD region. They joined the event not just for competition, but also for communication.
