Over 30 Chinese and foreign college students participated in the event held in Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District on Sept 24, when they gained a better understanding of traditional Chinese culture and intangible cultural heritage.

The students first tried Chabaixi, a time-honored tea-making technique and an ancient art form of using water and tea powder to create exquisite images.

After that, the students made beautiful hexagonal lanterns following the teacher’s demonstration and instructions and learned details about the traditional craft of making such kind of lantern.

The participants also viewed an exhibition that records many wonderful moments of cultural events held in the district.
